“Genesis 3D:” Coming soon to a theater near you! Well, that’s the goal, anyway.
The new Christian film project is currently in the process of raising funds for distribution.
After launching an online fundraising campaign in mid-September, the film has seen an enormous amount of support, both financially and conceptually, so much so that it was able to blast past the second fundraising goal, onto the third and final stage.
This film project, headed by executive producer Eric Hovind, has been in the works for nearly two years.
Hovind is also the president of Creation Today, an organization that educates the public about creationist views and beliefs.
“It looks like Christians around the world are pumped about this film, as we have already seen many backers from foreign countries donate,” Hovind said.
The film is already receiving positive reviews from those lucky enough to see the test footage.
This group includes the director of popular Christian films such as “Facing the Giants,” “Courageous,” and “Fireproof.”
Alex Kendrick, referring to Genesis 3D, said, “This is the way truth needs to be presented. We are raising the bar.”
The fact that a movie like this is even being created has ruffled some feathers, but look at the tremendous support being shown in its favor.
It is sure to make all the right people mad.
The online fundraising campaign at indiegogo.com still has another 20 days left, as more and more money keeps coming in.
Their original goal was to raise $150,000 for a straight to DVD release, but now a much wider theatrical release is becoming more possible each day.
A major donation that vaulted this project passed its previously set goals was contributed by an anonymous church in Texas, which gave more than $100,000.
I, for one, am excited about this film project, but I also realize that non-believers are less than thrilled, with many of them already dismissing the film outright before it’s even finished.
I would hope you reading this will at least give this movie a chance and go see it, at a theater or otherwise, with an open heart and mind.
People need to know that  evolution is not scientific fact,  nor is it the only explanation regarding the origin of the universe.
The skillful design of this movie, which has taken years to achieve, has been made possible by the intelligent designers working on the project.
So, in a way, even the production of this film is an exercise of the filmmakers’ creationist beliefs.
If evolutionists are to make a film in a similar fashion based on their beliefs, I am afraid it will be a long time till we see a rebuttal to Genesis 3D.
