Bucky’s Food Pantry continues to assist ETSU students, faculty and staff by providing food and resources to assist them.

Since opening in 2012, it has helped dozens of students throughout the year.

The pantry offers hot meals to students, faculty, and staff to help eliminate hunger on campus.

Griffin and Garret Moyler and Neiner Ferguson were new to the Johnson City community and set out to help their new community through Bucky’s Food Pantry.

They offer more than just hot meals, they also lend a helping hand to students who may be struggling by helping them get into government assistance programs or helping with budgeting.

This month they are collecting coats for ETSU’s third annual coat drive. From now until Oct. 30 they will be collecting new or gently used coats to help families in need.

If you are interested in donating a coat, visit Bucky’s Pantry in the Mini Dome. The coat drive will be Nov. 2, 3, and 6 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Nov. 4 and 5  from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Take the time to look through your closets with Bucky’s and the coat drive in mind.

They are also currently looking for volunteers for the drive. You can find a printable volunteer form on ETSU’s website. For more information, contact Helen Jones at joneshm1@etsu.edu. If you are in need and would like to request a coat you can pick up a form in the Sherrod Library, Room 164.
