A large group of students, faculty, staff and community members gathered in Borchuck Plaza Thursday in the final day of a planned three-day protest. The demonstration saw around 200 people at its peak.

The protest on Thursday was held the day after ETSU freshman Tristan Rettke confronted protestors, wearing a gorilla mask and using a rope to dangle bananas in front of the protestors’ faces. Rettke was later charged with civil rights intimidation.
