The men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Florida on Friday to compete in the NCAA South Region Championships.

The women finished in 22nd place led by Victoria Hutchens (Stuart, Va.), who individually placed 81st with a time of 22:05.6 in the 6K race.

The men placed 14th overall led by senior Simeon Roberts (Greeneville, Tenn.), who was ranked 54th individually with a time of 32:08.6.

Freshman Adam Bradtmueller (Sarasota, Fla.) also finished high within the men’s team, recording a time of 32:22.5 just behind Roberts.

Both teams were among the highest SoCon schools to finish the race, accompanied by Chattanooga, Samford and Mercer.
