School has only been in session for about three weeks, so that beginning jolt of inspiration may be beginning to fade. So whether you need a break from the content studying or trying to distract yourself from studying, here are three Netflix comedy specials to lighten your spirits.

If you just finished “Parks and Recreation”:

Aziz Ansari is hilarious as Tom in “Parks and Recreation,” but when you’ve watched the show all the way through (multiple times if we’re being honest) and you still want some laughs, you’re in luck. Aziz Ansari’s 2015 comedy special “Aziz Ansari Live at Madison Square Garden” is on Netflix. In his snazzy suit, Aziz delivers his own brand of comedy cracking jokes about his life as the son of immigrants, dating and feminism live at Madison Square Garden. He has has two other specials, “Buried Alive” and “Aziz Ansari: Dangerously Delicious” that are available to stream in a addition to his series, “Master of None.”

If you are drowning in a sea of male comedians and need a change of pace:

Iliza Sleshinger’s “War Paint” is a different kind of experience. Her stream-of-consciousness style of comedy is a rollercoaster to follow and has prompted numerous catch-phrases. She talks a lot of how it is sot be a woman and makes fun of women’s magazines and several other of-the-wall topics along with her dog, Blanche, in this 2013 special. Sleshinger also has two other specials available to stream titled, “Freezing Hot” and “Confirmed Kills.”

If you’ve already seen all of these and you’re a huge Seinfeld fan:

On Sept. 19, Netflix releases “Jerry Before Seinfeld” a Netflix Original where Jerry Seinfeld tells of his career in a stand-up comedy routine. According to the Netflix description, Seinfeld returns “to the club that gave him his start in the 1970s, mixing iconic jokes with stories from his childhood and early days in comedy.” The trailer begins with audio of Seinfeld being introduced in his first performance on the “The Tonight Show” and flips between clips of him in “The Comic Strip” in NYC doing a set for this special and interviews and childhood memories. This is a part of a deal that Seinfeld signed with Netflix in January that includes this comedy special, adding his show “Comedians in the Car Getting Coffee” to Netflix, another new comedy special, and the development of other material by Seinfeld.
