The ETSU volleyball team traveled Friday to play Samford and on Saturday traveled to play Mercer.

On Friday against Samford, the Bucs were dominate. In their first set they won 25-18 coming out very aggressive offensively and did well at blocking at the net. They had eight blocks for the game.

The second set was not too much different as the Bucs won 25-10 to go two sets up on Samford.

Going into set three, Samford battled back to win the third set outlasting the Bucs 29-27. The Bucs closed out the fourth set winning 25-11.

With the win, the Bucs got their 10th conference win. Rylee Milhorn (Kingsport, Tennessee) and Leah Clayton (Danville, Virginia) led the team with 38 kills combined. The two combined for 42.5 points combined as well.

AJ Lux (Shelbyville, Indiana) had nine kills of her own as well. That offense translated into 10.5 points.

Saturday was a chance for the Bucs to get their 11th SoCon win. That 11th win would keep them paced to share a piece of the SoCon regular season title if they win out.

The first set for the Bucs was solid, as they won 25-14. Despite a late game surge from Mercer in the second set, the Bucs were able to win 25-21 going into the half.

After the half, the Bucs closed out the third set winning 25-16. Milhorn led the Bucs in kills with 17 and Clayton added 11 of her own. The pair once again combined for 32 points. Defensively, the Bucs had eight blocks. The win gave the Bucs a 15-10 regular season record and a 11-3 conference record.

Just one game behind Furman in the conference standings, the Bucs have UT-Chattanooga next on their schedule.

The last two regular season games for the Bucs will be home games, where they have shown they know how to protect home court with a 5-1 record at home.
