For those of you lucky enough to be planning Valentine’s Day dates, whether you’re on a budget or ready to spend some cash, there are a few places in Johnson City just for you.

Anyone on a smaller budget with a taste for pizza, both Pizza Hut and Papa John’s offer heart-shaped pizzas that are the perfect way to express your love. Papa John’s offers a medium one-topping and double chocolate chip brownie for only $16, while Pizza Hut offers either a medium one-topping with your choice of dessert for $16.99.

For those wanting to skip the Pizza Hut but still stay cheap, there are many options around the area, including Chick-fil-A’s heart-shaped chicken nugget platter, which includes 30 nuggets, for $17.69.

More moderate to expensive spending comes in sit down restaurants in the area.

You can enjoy a sit-down meal to-go from Olive Garden, which includes breadsticks and soup or salad, five cheese marinara or Alfredo dipping sauce, a shareable chicken Alfredo or five cheese ziti al forno, and dessert starting at $35.

Another moderate to more pricey option is the restaurant Label, located in downtown Johnson City. Here you can find a wide array of entrees, ranging from sushi to burgers and steaks to pasta. Prices range from $11 to $38. But beware, Label fills up quick. If you plan to take your date here, it is probably a good idea to get a reservation a few days in advance.

No matter what your budget is or where you decide to eat, remember that Valentine’s Day is about two things: Spending time with someone you love and food.
