Kappa Delta Sorority is holding their annual Shamrock Project at 12 p.m. on March 31 at the Cattails golf course of the Meadowview Convention Center to host their first annual golf tournament.
The Shamrock Project is an event to raise funds for the prevention of child abuse and also to raise awareness.
Speaking at the kick-off will be President Stanton and Johnson City Mayor Vance Cheek.
Businesses are asked to make donations as well as play golf in the tournament to support the prevention of child abuse.
There is no cost for the kick-off. The cost to play is $200 per team.
