The ETSU volleyball team posted a 3.2 overall team grade point average during the fall semester, better than any other fall sport.
Junior Carey Cavanaugh posted a 4.0 GPA during the fall term, best on the team.
Along with Cavanaugh, freshman Kate Steidle was the second Buccaneer to be named to the Dean’s List (3.7 GPA or better), with a 3.8 GPA.
Seven players – freshman Julie Bratton, junior Amber Ciskowski, junior Anastasia Dishong, freshman Jessica Miller, freshman Gretchen Rupert, freshman Rachel Shifflet and senior Kellie Wallace – were named to the Buccaneer honor roll (3.0 GPA or better).
All told, 11 of 13 Buccaneer volleyball players had a 3.0 or better.
“I am very proud of the effort our team put into their studies during the season,” said ETSU Assistant Coach Shannon Mincey.
The Buccaneers return to action as they host a tournament on March 29 beginning at 5 p.m.
