Do you find yourself running out of space to store things? Do you often want to keep things around even though it seems impractical? Well, store no more.
The ETSU Office of Professional Development is sponsoring a seminar entitled “Conquer Clutter” on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Carnegie Library’s Carl Gerber Hall on the campus of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Mountain Home.
The seminar costs $29 and will be presented by Mary Pankiewicz, professional consultant and member of the National Organization of Professional Organizers.
Among the tips she offers, Pankiewicz suggests taking care of smaller projects, such as organizing your shoes, before taking on bigger projects, like organizing the whole bedroom closet. Another tip she offers is to organize mail and excess paperwork while standing up.
The most important thing, she says, is to realize that traditional organizing methods don’t always work for everyone.
Pankiewicz travels throughout the Southeast teaching organizational seminars.
She is also part of the National Study Group on the Chronically Disorganized and publisher of the newsletter, Clutter-free and Organized.
