The ETSU women’s golf team finished 21st with a total score of 988 (+ 124) last weekend in the largest women’s collegiate golf tournament in the United States, the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The tournament field includes 32 teams, the largest group of any women’s golf tournament this season.
The Lady Bucs were led by senior Mimmie Dymling, who finished tied for 66th overall after shooting a 79 on Sunday’s final round. Dymling shot 81 on the first round and 84 in round two for a three-day total of 244.
Fellow senior Catalina Zuluaga was the Lady Bucs’ second finisher, tied for 77th place with with a total score of 246. Zuluaga shot a 79 in the first round, 83 in the second round and 84 in the final round.
Also competing for the Lady Bucs were freshman Alysa Few (tied for 91st) who shot rounds of 82, 87 and 80 for a total of 249, sophomore Kristen Fletcher (tied for 96th ) shot rounds of 85, 84 and 81 for a total of 250 and freshman Danielle O’Reilly (tied for 127th ) shot 88, 88 and 83 for a 259.
The University of North Carolina Wilmington won the event with a total score of 916 (+ 52). UNCW’s Heather McMunn was the overall winner shooting rounds of 79, 72 and 71 for a total of 222.
