ETSU’s head men’s basketball coach, Ed DeChellis, has withdrawn his name from consideration for the head coaching position at the College of Charleston.”After visiting the College of Charleston this weekend, I have officially withdrawn from consideration for the coaching position there,” DeChellis said. “I feel a great loyalty to my players and East Tennessee State University. Our president, Dr. Stanton, and (ETSU Athletics Director) Todd Stansbury have been great to me and my family. I look forward to an exciting season with the Bucs in 2002-03.”
“I am extremely happy that Eddie DeChellis has chosen to stay at ETSU,” Stansbury said.
“I am excited about the future of our men’s basketball program under his continued leadership.
