The ETSU men’s tennis team placed a singles player and a doubles team on the All-Southern Conference first team, announced Thursday from the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Championships from Charleston, S.C.
Junior Marcos Pavlovich is a member of the All-Southern Conference first team. Pavlovich has now earned All-SoCon honors in all three of his seasons at ETSU.
Pavlovich has recorded a 14-10 record in singles matches this season, playing at No. 1 the No.1 flight for the Bucs. Marcos has a 6-4 record in Southern Conference singles matches, running a six-match winning streak during mid-season.
Pavlovich has been a consistent winner for the Buccaneers in his three years of play, racking up a 69-29 record in singles matches, including a 25-9 record in SoCon matches.
The doubles team of Pavlovich and senior Roberto Fernandez were also named to the SoCon first-team. Pavlovich and Fernandez have an 11-6 record at No.1 doubles this season, including a perfect 8-0 record in SoCon matches.
The duo is currently on a torrid streak, having won eight consecutive matches.
This marks the second time that Fernandez has been named All-Conference for his doubles play.
