DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson found the perfect way to rebound from a Southern Conference loss, handing division-leading Appalachian State its second conference loss of the season. The Wildcats had six players in double figures with senior Wayne Bernard leading the way. Bernard scored 25 points on 7-of-11 from the field, dished out six assists and grabbed three steals.
“Good and bad things come from everything that you do,” said Bernard. “Even though we lost at Wofford, we realized what we needed to do for the remainder of the season. We needed to show a lot of energy coming into every game. Today, we came out early and showed a lot of fight and fire.”
