Clara Harris has been convicted of murdering her husband.
She actually drove her Mercedes-Benz over him in a parking lot. She made sure the job was done.
This case has been watched closely because the defense is doing its best to get her out of a life sentence or even worse.
This case is bizarre.
There has been some talk that she was temporarily insane during this act of violence.
It could be said that most people are temporarily insane when they commit murderous acts.
Nobody would say that an individual is definitely thinking correctly when a crime is committed.
Hopefully, the jury will not buy that defense.
The truth is, that she was so angry, she murdered him.
CNN reported that the parents of the victim, David Harris, actually took the stand in defense of Clara Harris. They said that she loved her husband very much and that she did everything to preserve their marriage.
Everything, that is, except keeping him alive to work through their problems like adults.
She killed him.
It is even documented on tape, the car swirling rapidly around the parking lot.
Just as the car drove the behind bushes that obstructed the view of the camera, a crunching noise could be heard on the tape. That noise was the body of her husband being destroyed.
The issue cannot be this man’s infidelity.
He made a wrong decision when he cheated on his wife.
There are actually some people who say that this man deserved what he got.
His actions cannot be defended, but his foolish act should have been punished by the termination of the marriage or counseling, not the termination of his life.
The next argument is that an act of violence in the heat of passion is not the same as if it were premeditated.
Feel free to tell that to the deceased husband.
Prison is constructed to house people who cannot function within the laws of a given country.
Clara Harris has done the unthinkable and should be sent to prison never to see the outside world again.
She disobeyed these laws and took another life. For her crime she should pay, just like everyone else.
