Dear Editor,
I am writing in response to Larry French’s article in the Sept. 23 edition “Forgery looming over CBS ‘rather’ suspicious.”
First of all, French needs to take heed to the fact that Democrats around the country, like myself, take much offense from the ignorant lie that John Kerry and the Democrats had something to do with the documents concerning Bush’s National Guard service airing on CBS and that somehow the Democrats provided the documents.
This is ridiculous and I believe French needs to quit relying on such unreliable sources as Fox News for his research. While on the subject of Fox News, which I’m guessing with much certainty is French’s favorite sourch for news and entertainment, I wish to discuss his disdain for the network news channels and how they are liberally biased, especially CBS.
I would think that in most viewers’ opinions, CBS is probably the most conservative of the network news channels. I don’t know of another one that has a special portion of their morning show dedicated to the Jerry Falwell-esque conservatism of the Rev. Dr. James Dobson.
Also, French says that Dan Rather needs to apologize to the American public. Now, I’m not sure if French writes his Republican rag column a week in advance, but if he had done thorough research like any real journalist does or had he even watched a little TV over this past week, he would have seen that Dan Rather did in fact apologize to the American public on Monday evening’s broadcast.
So, let this be a lesson to French. Before he starts spewing forth his dastardly and false conservative remarks, he needs to make sure he has his facts in order so that he doesn’t look like the right-leaning loose “cannon” that he is.
