The problem with the “Anybody but Bush” crowd is that a vote for Kerry won’t ease their ills and they don’t even realize it.
Take the war in Iraq for example. In next week’s article I will outline how John Kerry not only lied about his position on Iraq for his own political gain, but the guy with the “different plan” was itching for the war you hate since 1998. Don’t believe it? See next week’s column.
Next, the draft. Do you suppose Bill Clinton’s downsizing might be the reason we don’t have enough troops? Of course, you can prove Kerry fought Clinton over this issue can’t you? And, of course, John Kerry has a winning plan to fix Social Security, the economy and all the other national ills we are faced with, right?
Look, do yourself a favor. Quit watching Michael Moore movies – they rot your brain. Go out and research the topics and find non-partisan sources. This way you’ll know the facts and you’ll have made up your own mind instead of having it brainwashed.
If you still feel the hate, vote third party. If your honest conviction is one of anger at everything from the failures that allowed 9/11 to happen to the Iraq war, then stop the naivety and realize that what you hate is government as usual. That means you need to push for the formation of a third party that can actually win an election and then straighten up the mess in D.C. But, make no mistake about it, John Kerry isn’t going to give you the fixed government and brighter tomorrow you desire. Kerry just needs you to think he will.
