Dear Editor,
Well, it would seem that campus is now back to normal. Homecoming has finally come to an end. On behalf of the Greek system, you are very welcome ETSU!
After countless hours of effort by many Greeks, we brought you a carnival, literally tons upon tons of canned food for second harvest, and a skit night which packed the auditorium.
Not to mention all the blood that was donated by Greek members. With all this being said, my point is that I haven’t seen or heard one gesture of gratitude from anyone. Instead, all we can expect to get is some more rules that smother us and make it harder and harder for us to operate.
I realize that there were other groups who participated in homecoming but the events would be nothing without the overwhelming spirit of Greeks.
Lets face it, pretty much everything that happens around here is made exciting when Greeks participate. For example, there would never be any crowds at intramural games if it weren’t for the Greek teams.
We Greeks are the definition of school spirit here at ETSU and I for one, would appreciate a far less negative attitude towards us.
I have a dream of one day going to a school where we Greeks are given the credit we deserve.
Before anyone gets upset, this is directed mostly at the administration and not the student body.
Once again, you are welcome for homecoming!
Never Forget the Football Team!
