The Office of Adult Commuter and Transfer Services’ 5th Annual Commuter Fair Wednesday in the Borchurck Plaza attracted both resident and commuter students.
“It is a day to celebrate for the commuters,” said student commuter Terri Lawson. Most students who attend ETSU are commuters.
The fair assisted commuter students with connecting to a variety of university offices, student organizations, and neighborhood businesses. Free food, drinks, music and fun information were all about the circle of booths.
“We’ve been here all five years and it’s a very nice of the university to help local businesses introduce themselves and their services to both commuting and residential students,” said Wanda Willingham of Precision Tune Auto Care.
The event, which lasted from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., brought out on-campus students as well as commuters.
“The food was free and I get a chance to mingle with other students,” said senior Ian Allen.
This informative, fun event was a hit with students and participants alike. “The event was a hoot,” said Jennifer Everding, mentor for the NET.
