Dear Editor,
I am writing today to address the issue of popular will within the war. Many Americans have become frustrated and tired with the war.
This is what happened during Vietnam, the popular will for the war within the American society became negative. I believe for our troops overseas we, as American citizens, should stay positive and support them with our hope instead of tearing down the issues on which they are fighting.
I understand that many families have loved ones that they want to come home, however, if you look at statistics the number of causalities right now is fairly small compared to many other wars in which America has fought.
I am not saying whether I am for or against the war in Iraq, however, I am saying support our troops. Support them with faith in what they are doing instead of criticizing because believe it or not popular will has a lasting effect on war, which we have witnessed in the past.
