As part of East Tennessee State University’s efforts to encourage recycling and to become a more sustainable campus, the university is participating in an event called RecycleMania.RecycleMania is a national competition held each spring semester.

Participating colleges and universities are invited to recycle to gain recognition and ranking.

ETSU organizations and individuals are being encouraged to make the university’s first year in the competition a success by using the recycle bins located in campus buildings, requesting bins from Facilities Management, or scheduling a pick up for large amounts of materials.

Further information will be available at the Facilities Management booth at ETSU’s Winter Cruise festivities in the D.P. Culp University Center on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

In addition, ETSU will hold a “Spring Clean Out” event scheduled for the week of March 15-19.
