Junior Bo Reeder led the Bucs in an offensive onslaught against the Radford Highlanders yesterday to claim a 22-10 victory in Cardinal Park.Reeder knocked in three home runs for the Bucs. His first came in the bottom of the second inning, and then he added two more in the bottom of the fifth. Reeder finished the day with seven RBIs.

Freshman Pete Whittingslow got the win on the mound for the Bucs with 1.1 innings pitched in relief. He had three strike outs and one walk.

Sophomore Josh Constable was credited with the loss for Radford.

The Highlanders were actually the first to get on the board. In the top of the second, sophomore and third baseman Matt Mack reached first on a throwing error. He was knocked in by junior second baseman Alex Guerra three batters later. The next batter, junior Robert Lamas added an RBI for Radford.

ETSU responded in kind, and then some. Junior Bo Reeder got things started for the Bucs when he launched a bomb over the right field wall. The Bucs then reeled off six straight hits and scored four runs before the Highlanders could even get one out.

After a pitching change, Reeder came back up to bat to knock in two more runs on a single to center field. By the time Radford managed to get the third out, the Bucs were up 8-0.

But Radford’s offense would not go away. After scoring two runs in the third inning, senior Raphael Turner got a single in the top of the fifth that would start a serious run for the Highlanders.

Sophomore Josh Means walked three batters for the Bucs before he was pulled for Derek Bushey. Radford kept on swinging, and scored four more runs on Bushey. Coach Skole called on freshman Pete Whittingslow to get the Bucs out of the inning.

It almost seemed the Bucs were letting the Highlanders score just to see if they could one-up them.

Leading off again, Reeder took another pitch over the right field wall to push his RBI count to 4 on the game. After the Radford pitchers walked in a couple runs, Derek Trent picked up two RBIs with a single to center field. Reeder then knocked yet another home run over the center field fence to put the Bucs ahead 20-10.

Not to be outdone, senior Paul Hoilman knocked a homer in the bottom of the seventh to add to the Bucs already massive scoring.

The Bucs travel to Nashville this weekend for a Atlantic-Sun conference match up with the Lipscomb Bisons.
