ETSU’s Radio, Television and Film program will present the fourth annual Made in East Tennessee on a new date March 3 at 7 p.m. in Johnson City’s Real to Reel Cinemas, located at 130 W. Springbrook Drive, due to inclement weather.
Tickets for the event are $3 and can be purchased directly at the Real to Reel Cinemas. All proceeds will benefit the Tom Headley Student Production Award.
This year, Made in East Tennessee will feature nine selected films, each with their own unique qualities and concepts.
“Each year it changes a little but it’s usually around 10 films,” said Shara Lange, RTVF concentration head.
The only criteria is that the film must be made in an RTVF class. The films to be screened include projects from Video Film Techniques, Digital Narrative, Post-Production and Documentary Research and Production.
“Usually we invite the best project to show, but students also have an opportunity to submit their work for consideration,” said Lange.
Student filmmakers of the event include Shelby Burris, Jazmine Brown, Katie Jones, Ryan Renfro and Anton Slisko.
