Coming off a home victory against Davidson, the Bucs were defeated by Radford Tuesday night at Patrick D. Cupp Memorial Stadium in Radford, Virginia, ETSU hasn’t lost to Radford since 2006. The Highlanders booted in the last three goals of the match for a 4-1 victory over the Bucs.

Down 1-0 in the first, Kourtney Gaylord (Mooresville, North Carolina) assisted on the Bucs only goal of the night. Eleonora Goldoni (Ferrara, Italy) made her way through the box and tied the match at one all at the 50:29 mark. Goldoni now sits second in the SoCon with five goals scored.

Radford took back the lead at the 56:41 mark when Jessica Wollmann scored her second goal of the evening. The Highlanders increased their lead with another goal at the 82:14 mark and capped off the night with a Nelia Perez goal, assisted by Wollmann at the 86:23 mark.

ETSU had 11 shots, eight of which were on goal and 13 fouls, while their opponents had 21 shots, 11 on goal and 14 fouls. Goalkeeper Lea Ann Cutshall (Johnson City) recorded seven saves and allowed four goals. Cutshall is now 1-3-0 on the season. Radford goalkeeper Lexi Dean earned the win and moved to 4-0-0.

The Buccaneers will host Virginia Tech Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Summers-Taylor Stadium in hopes of improving their 2-3 record.
