The women’s basketball team suffered another blow in the season on the afternoon of Friday November 30 at home in Brooks Gym against the Davidson Wildcats.
This is the first of three consecutive games that will be hosted by the Blue and Gold in Brooks Gym. Davidson won the game by 15 points at 75-60, moving them down to 2-6 overall in the season.
The Wildcats led the game from the get-go leaving the Bucs in their dust as they went on a 14-0 run. Their winning streak was broken by sophomore Amaya Adams (Kansas City, Missori) who was able to close the gap to a difference of 10 before the end of the quarter by scoring the four following points.
Headed into the second quarter, the Buccaneers shot an 8-8 from the free throw line, which the Wildcats retaliated by taking their lead back to 40-29.

In the final quarter, the Wildcats took the lead by a 9-0 run, taking the score to 66-40. Though they did not do so great at the start of the match, the Blue and Gold managed to get the last word in by way of the final eight points, lacking in only 15 to tie and 16 to win the game.
Overall the Blue and Gold shot 18-56 (31.1%) from the field, 4-13 (30.8%) from the arc and 20-26 (79.6%) at the free-throw line, while the Wildcats shot 32-62 (51.6%) from the field, with 8-19 (42.1%) from the arc.
The Buccaneers are set to play Wake Forest on Friday December 5 at 7 p.m. at Brooks Gym.
