The men’s golf team attended the White Sands Bahamas Invitational from Friday, Oct. 29, to Sunday, Oct. 31, in Nassau, Bahamas. 

The island weather brought in 20 miles per hour wind gusts on the first day leaving the Bucs tied for 8th.

Sophomore Archie Davies (Carlisle, England) birdied on the second hole with another three birdies starting at hole 13. Ending the day with a five-way tie for 23rd.  

Freshmen Jack Tickle (Bristol, Tennessee) and Algot Kleen (Fiskebackskil, Sweden) finished the first day 3-over-par (75) and tied for 43rd.  

The Buccaneers were tied in 8th with Lipscomb for team rankings at the end of day one. 

The second day of the tournament took a turn for the better for the men.  

Sophomore Remi Chartier (Montreal, Canada) carded a sub-70 round with a 5-under-par (67) for the fourth time this season. Advancing to fourth on the solo leaderboard, Chartier climbed after back-to-back birdies on holes 16 and 17.  

Tickle and Davies both finished with an even-par (72) with Tickle having four birdies and Davies with three leaving Davies tied for 22nd in the individual standings and Tickle for 35th in a tie.  

Ending day two of the invitational ETSU advanced into the team ranking of 5th place of the 12 spots.  

Through round two of the final day of competing, the Bucs are tied for fourth, along with South Florida and Florida Atlantic. Final results will be made available online at http://results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/.
