Mid City Grill, a staple Johnson City eatery, has opened a brand new location in downtown Kingsport.

The restaurant, specializing in burgers and vegan options, officially opened on March 1. It is located at 115 Commerce St., in downtown Kingsport. 

Mid City Grill in Kingsport is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.. 

Theresa Garnett, owner of Mid City Grill, describes the restaurant as offering “casual, American dining”. Their menu offers a wide selection: everything from hot dogs and sandwiches to pulled pork and dinner salads.

Garnett is excited about the restaurant’s opening in downtown Kingsport.

“Kingsport has a lot of growth and we want to be part of it,” Garnett said. 

Garnett says that the Mid City Grill offers great food quality and a great staff, with uniqueness that keeps customers coming back. 

Mid City Grill offers various daily specials, including a 99 cent kids meal with purchase of an adult entree on Tuesday nights and a 10% discount every day for first responders and all military personnel.

The Mid City Grill in downtown Kingsport is the second Mid City Grill location in the Tri-Cities. The original Mid City Grill is located at 106 S. Commerce St. in downtown Johnson City, and has been open since 2003.

The website for Johnson City’s Mid City Grill boasts the best burgers in the Tri-Cities area, which are made entirely from 100% angus beef. The restaurant’s menu also has one of the largest vegan selections in the area.

Johnson City Mid City Grill is open Tuesday through Saturday, with lunch served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner served from 5:00-11:00 p.m..
