The Founders Park Pavilion was designed to complement the two restored train depots in Downtown Johnson City. It is also home to the Farmers Market on a weekly basis in the warmer months of the year.
Founders Park is a five-acre greenspace in the heart of Downtown Johnson City. Founders Park is also home to a winter wonderland special event that has been going on for the past few years featuring many Christmas trees decorated by local businesses and churches. This event brings surpluses of people to the downtown area, meaning that businesses surrounding the park also benefit from these events by bringing in customers once they are finished shopping and exploring.
Spring markets are important events for small-business owners, especially living in a post-pandemic world. The pandemic took a toll on all working people, but especially those who own their own small businesses. Without the different markets being held throughout the year due to needs of social distancing, this hurt many small businesses that use these events as a main source of their income.
Attending and hosting these events give people a great reason to get back out and interested in public events now that the pandemic seems to be calming down. These events can help people decorate their homes, change their wardrobes and even add unique pieces of jewelry to their jewelry boxes. Customers and the small business owners both benefit from these events.
