Johnson City is an amazing city in eastern Tennessee and sure does not disappoint with fun things to do. If you’re a nature person and enjoy hiking or biking, there are hundreds of trails around these mountains, for example: The Tweetsie Trail.
The Tweetsie Trail is a 9.6-mile trail that provides opportunities for walking, running, and biking in a beautiful, open natural setting. Even if you don’t enjoy being active in nature, like nature itself, Buffalo Mountain could be your answer. The Beauty Spot on Buffalo Mountain is an amazing 360 view of the East Tennessee mountains. This spot is perfect for picnics, reading and watching the sunset.
On the other hand, if you enjoy fun activities inside, there’s more options. The Johnson City Family Skate Center is a family friendly roller skating rink, with skates provided, concessions, an arcade, and fun music. Sometimes there are also specific themed skating nights, for example: speed skaters.
Skaters who are more skilled are allowed to skate alone and speed round and round the rink. There are also multiple different trampoline parks and shopping malls around Johnson City if that’s more your speed.
