The memorial fountain in Borchuck Plaza sustained damage from the frigid temperatures during the holiday season.
The fountain was dedicated in March 2013, celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. The fountain honors the first five Black students to enroll at ETSU and led to the integration of the university.
According to a statement from the ETSU Office of Facilities Management, Planning, Design and Construction, the damage has been reported to the State with other claims from the cold weather snap across the campus.
“Once we go through the proper reporting processes and approvals, there will be an opportunity to restore the fountain and the other damaged resources on campus,” the statement said.
