A popular coffee chain by the name of 7 Brew will soon be opening its second Johnson City location across from East Tennessee State University’s campus.
The first location is in the former Toys “R” Us parking lot on North Roan Street, and the new location will be where the former Ruby Tuesday’s once stood at 1208 W. Harris Drive.
7 Brew first began in 2015 in Rogers, Arkansas, and only had seven original coffee drinks. Now, in 2023, there are 76 locations and hundreds of thousands of different drink combinations.
Matt Martinkovic, director of operations for 7 Brew locations in the state of Tennessee, is very excited to have a location so close to a college campus.
“We at 7 Brew are excited to open our new location in Johnson City near ETSU,” said Martinkovic. “We feel that this will allow us to expand our footprint in the community and cultivate kindness while doing so. We have had an amazing welcome with our first store on North Roan and are looking forward to being an impactful member of our East Tennessee community.”
Dave Shanks, chief culture officer of 7 Brew, stated that the location will be opening in mid-June of 2023.
According to the 7 Brew website, “7 Brew is so much more than just a coffee stand. It’s the concept of cultivating kindness and joy with every drink – through our service, speed, quality, energy and atmosphere. It’s contagious and it’s changing the drive-thru coffee industry.”
When visiting any 7 Brew location, customers will have a unique experience, with the 7 Brew employee coming and taking their order right at their car. The customer will also get to enjoy fun music and a personable interaction with the employee.
