Buctainment’s Tie-Dye and Inflatables event blew campus away. With free tie-dyeing and an obstacle course of inflatables, students enjoyed a fun and interactive event on campus.

These events are so wholesome to be a part of because campus has such a special energy. Campus brings people together and being that it is the beginning of the fall semester students are engaged and excited to get involved and meet new people. Events on campus open your opportunities to find you people, even if stepping out of your comfort zone could be nerve racking.

Natalie Hogan, Buctainment’s weekly events chair explained, “During this event, students could learn more about Buctainment and Access ETSU. They could also enjoy tie-dyeing and an inflatable obstacle course free to anyone.” Tie-dyeing brought so much excitement to the campus because students were able to take home a shirt they got to make and be creative with.

Buctainment hosted the event during the day so students could stop by before or after their classes and still get to participate. Students got to check out the event before attending and bring all of their friends along with them.

Hogan states, “Overall, we think this event went pretty well! We gave out all the Welcome Week t-shirts we had and used all our tie-dye supplies. I think students enjoyed the opportunity to take a break from their classes and have fun in the sun!” This event brought so many people joy and the smiles on the students’ faces were priceless.

Students raced and challenged each other through the inflatables, and you could truly see the heart of campus coming out within the student body. Hogan expressed, “My favorite part of the event was watching students have fun racing each other on the obstacle course.”

Hogan stated, “We hosted this event to bring more awareness to Buctainment and Access ETSU and give students the opportunity to have fun and meet new friends. This event brought a bit of fun into the new school year and a new event for campus life.” Buctainment will continue to host fun and interactive activities throughout the semester, so if you couldn’t make it to the past event, don’t miss your chance to get involved in the next one.

Hogan also would like to add, “Buctainment meets Mondays at 5 p.m. in the Culp carrier center room 210! Everyone is welcome!” If you would like to get involved in hosting these events for campus, make sure to get in contact with the team at their meetings.
