ETSU’s Education Abroad Office offers students a chance to help fund their dream trip across the world.
The ETSU Study Abroad Scavenger Hunt was held Feb. 13 to 26 and gave students the opportunity to win a $300 scholarship. Students were able to search for clues every day of the week in order to be entered to win.
“Students who find all five clues around campus, will be entered to win one of five $300 study abroad scholarships or one of five study abroad swag bags,” Courtney Lucas, education abroad director, said.
ETSU offers many opportunities, scholarships and programs to help students achieve their desire to study abroad. Studying abroad allows students to be immersed in different cultures and experiences while also working and earning credits toward their degree.
Students who may not have the funds to study abroad can find different opportunities to collect aid and scholarships throughout the year. The scavenger hunt provides a fun and interactive way to help students fund their trips.
While the scavenger hunt took place throughout the week, students studying abroad can also look forward to Study Abroad Day on Feb. 26.
“Study Abroad Day is Feb. 26, and the Education Abroad Office has some exciting events planned, including an opportunity to win a study abroad scholarship. We hope you will join us for these fun events and get to know our study abroad ambassadors,” Lucas said.
Students will be able to attend events on Monday and gain more information about programs and studying abroad. There will be a Q&A with ambassadors and a tabling event for students to make bracelets and talk about studying abroad. All students who plan to go abroad are encouraged to participate.
