Sodexo, ETSU’s dining services provider, has committed to stepping up and providing while the Appalachian region is in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

A long time dining service provider, Sodexo is committed to ensuring every student has access to meals and beverages during this time. In addition, the entire team, led by manager Kelvin Tarakuwsha, has been working diligently on providing much needed support through water and food supplies to those in affected communities in our region, donating 800 meals through the Salvation Army.

“Since its inception in 1911, East Tennessee State University has been committed to improving the quality of life for the people of the region and beyond. Central to this mission is the belief that people come first,” said Dean of Students Dr. Michelle Byrd. “This donation of 800 meals from our food service partner, Sodexo, is part of our Bucs Rebuild Together initiative, the university’s coordinated response to the devastation from Hurricane Helene in the region.”
