There’s something with an air of “unforgettable music and nostalgia” coming right to ETSU in one week. It may be new to students, but their music is definitely not new.

“SPANKthe80s features eye-popping fashion, an incredible light show, and nonstop energy and fun,” said Mann. “We want to recreate the sounds, styles, and vibe of the 80s…there’s no better party then a SPANKthe80s show.”

The band is focused on bringing back-to-life major hits from Michael Jackson, Prince, Bon Jovi, Journey and any other artists. SPANKthe80s is returning home to play at the Martin Center.

“We formed in 1999 right in Johnson City, but rarely play in this area,” said Mann. “We’re excited to have a venue in town and to be able to play in our hometown again.”

They do college shows every year, but this tie to the region is what made them decide to come to the Martin Center.

ETSU students can purchase tickets for $20 online or at the Martin Center box office on the day of the show. SPANKthe80s is performing on Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
