ETSU will host its annual Family Weekend this weekend, Nov. 8 through 10, for students and their families to enjoy and spend time together.
Starting on Friday, students will have the opportunity to invite their families on campus for events and activities. ETSU families with a ticket are invited to all events and activities.
“Family Weekend is a special time on campus. Each fall we invite our Buccaneer families to visit campus for a tradition-filled weekend experience. It’s an opportunity for families to connect with ETSU, meet other families and spend time with their students,” said Assistant Director of New Student and Family Programs Trish Caughran.
Family Weekend is a great way for students to show their families around campus and the area. It also gives families a chance to meet new friends and professors of their students.
“Family Weekend offers families a unique opportunity to connect with their student’s college experience firsthand. Families are able to see the campus, meet faculty and staff and gain insights into the resources that support their students. It also gives families and students valuable time together, which can make all the difference in supporting their student’s adjustment to college life,” Caughran said.
From movie night to yoga to ghost stories, there will be events and activities for all students and their families no matter what their interests are. For students far from family or just a short drive away, Family Weekend will provide a great opportunity to spend more time together.
“Family Weekend has a variety of events, so we encourage families to plan their schedule to get the most out of their visit. Our signature events are drop-in to allow more flexibility for our families. We want the weekend to truly capture the spirit of ETSU, so families leave feeling even more connected to the community,” Caughran said.
