Finals are just around the corner and Holiday De-Stress Week is back! There will be events each day from Monday, Dec. 2, to Friday, Dec. 6, to help students unwind before exams.

“De-Stress Week is a week full of programs to help students stress a little less, sleep better, and set themselves up better for exams the following week,” said Halie Darby, assistant director of student wellness for campus recreation.

Monday will host the hot cocoa bar and cookie decorating in the Wellness Corner followed by a screening of “Elf” on court four in the Center for Physical Activity. The Sleigh Ride cycling class will take place in Studio A on Tuesday.

Wednesday will bring another hot cocoa bar and ornament painting in the Wellness Corner. Thursday’s packed schedule includes guided meditation in the Sherrod Library Room 102 and Yo and Let Go fitness class in Studio A of the CPA.

De-Stress Week will wrap up on Friday with Snack, Study, Succeed on the D.P. Culp Student Center Main Street.

“I am partial to cycle class, especially themed cycle classes, just because I am an instructor myself,” said Darby. “I also enjoy the hot cocoa bar and some of our more relaxing events.”

De-Stress Week happens every semester during the week before finals, so don’t fret if you missed this semester’s events!

All events other than fitness classes are open to everyone and are first come first serve. Visit campusrec.etsu.edu to register for fitness classes. Registration opens 24 hours in advance.

“You really don’t get that many opportunities in your day to day schedule to just sit down and focus on being creative and hang out with friends. I really like that we create a space that allows that to happen,” said Darby.
