He’s omnipresent, he travels at the speed of light, he has the ability to enter any home regardless of available entryways and he leads others under his domain. Long white hair and a large figure to ward against the cold.
No, I’m not talking about the Yeti or the White Thang
He’s holly, he’s jolly, and he’s coming to town whether you like it or not.
Santa Claus is arguably one of the most well-known non-humans in the world and goes by a variety of names, but the story is always some variation of the thing.
There is a large man who travels around and gives toys to those who are good. It seems based on variations and multitudes within even local areas, that Santa is a species and not a person, native to the North Pole. Many depictions show the Clauses as a single family, though there is no proof that this is the truth. Instead, I pose the theory that is a large branching family, with branches in each region.
Those who aren’t get something dependent on where they’re from. Western countries get coal, some Nordic countries have a large beast kidnap/eat the naughty children.
He’s been sighted around campus in the past week. Claims have been made that he was spending time around the ETSU ice rink, talking and taking pictures. Of all of the cryptids I’ve written about, he is the most well-documented and well photographed.
So on December 25, for those who believe, a Santa will enter your home. One hopes that you’ve been good and receive only what you want a need. My condolences to those placed upon the other list and I wish that you survive his coming.
