The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics revealed Wednesday the site of the $26.6 million football stadium. The location was revealed amid a crowd of supporters, including students, alumni and interested parties.

The stadium will be located in the Southwest corner of campus between the Basler Center for Physical Activity and the Physical Plant Building. If you are standing at the front entrance to the CPA, the field will be directly to your right where a large parking lot is now.

The stadium will also include nearly 4,000 parking spaces for attending fans.

The South end of the stadium will contain several facilities including the field house, locker rooms and the video board. The West tower will contain the press box and the skybox seating.

The stadium seating is situated in a horseshoe design around the turf field. The seating will accommodate 10,000 fans.

The stadium will be open air.

The Buccaneer’s football stadium is being supported financially by many people, with most of the support from leadership gifts and student fees.

The co-chairs of the fundraising committee are country music star Kenny Chesney and former NFL Falcons head coach Mike Smith. Chesney expressed his excitement at the start of a new football program and hoped the very best for the school during his video address on Wednesday. Former UT head coach Phillip Fulmer was also in attendance via video. Fulmer was a strong football consultant during the early stages of ETSU football’s rebirth.

Everyone involved with the Buccaneers football program has stressed the importance of the unity and excitement that this program will bring to ETSU. The football program will boost attendance and hopefully allow ETSU to reach its goal of 18,000 students.
