ETSU’s Delta Xi chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity, received seven awards at a recent fraternity conference in Atlanta.
The chapter won the Highest Chapter Efficiency Index points in the Mid-South region award, the Highest Increase in Adjusted CEI points in the Mid-South region award.
Nationally, the chapter earned the Greatest CEI Points Increase Award.
The Chapter Efficiency Index evaluate the effectiveness of the chapters in the areas of basic business functions such as recording minutes, strategic planning, financial management and membership recruitment.
The Delta Xi chapter was also named National Most Improved chapter as well as the most improved chapter in the mid-South Region.
The Mid-South Region is comprised of seven active chapters in colleges and universities in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Kentucky.
Tim Dills, ETSU’s College of Business adviser and Delta Sigma Pi adviser, was named Chapter Adviser of the year in the Mid-South Region and National Adviser of the Year.
Chinwe Obianwu, an ETSU senior majoring in finance, also received a National Foundation Scholarship, which is valued at $500 to assist with school expenses. The Delta Xi Chapter also nominated her for Delta Sigma Pi’s Collegian of the Year.
