Rocky Mount Museum, Unicoi County Heritage Museum, Netherland Inn and Jonesboro-Washington County History Museum received Awards of Excellence and Certificates of Commendation at the 41st annual Tennessee Association of Museum’s conference, held in Greenville on March 21-23.
Thirty awards were presented to museums from across the state during Thursday’s luncheon.
The Award of Excellence recognizes the highest standards of excellence in programming within the museum profession and related fields of interest in Tennessee.
Only one excellence award is given in each program category for small, medium and large museums.
Certificates of Commendation are awarded to museums that have gone the “extra mile” with projects and programs, and as such, are also worthy of acknowledgement.
