The ETSU men’s tennis team took four of six singles matches in straight sets as they blanked The Citadel 7-0 in men’s tennis action from Charleston, S.C.
The Bucs Gustavo Gomez kept his winning streak alive by taking his 17th straight match over Matt Stubbs 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
No. 2 singles saw Pablo Sahagun defeat Eddie Almada 6-1, 4-6, 6-0. Juan Yannuzzi also continued his winning ways by taking his 12th match in 13 tries by defeating John Williams 4-6, 6-0, 6-0.
No. 4 singles saw Roberto Fernandez take care of Ben Fortune 6-4, 6-1. Antonio Bugge won his match at No. 5 singles over John Doughtery 6-2, 6-2. Francisco Diaz rounded out singles competition by defeating David Scates 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6 singles. The Bucs also swept all three doubles matches to win the doubles point.
With the win, the Bucs improve to 8-7 overall and 5-1 in Southern Conference play.
