Dear Editor:
I would like to comment on “The Epistles,” a column by Ashton Roberts frequently featured in the East Tennessean.
While as a Christian, I have enjoyed reading what Mr. Roberts has to say, I do not think it is very fair or appropriate for the newspaper to only print articles relating to Christianity.
ETSU is a culturally and religiously diverse community with a myriad of beliefs and values. By only including topics relating to one religion, the paper seems to be sanctioning Christianity over all others.
As a student-funded paper, the East Tennessean has a responsibility (both legally and ethically) to represent ALL students on this campus.
Christopher Gardner Editor’s Note: The East Tennessean welcomes comment from all sides of any issue, including religion.
