The Politics of Combating Hunger” will be addressed in a lecture at ETSU on Monday at 3:30 p.m. in Rogers-Stout Hall, Room 324.
This lecture will be delivered by Dan Banik, a research fellow at the Center for Development and the Environment at the University of Olso, Norway.
Banik, a citizen of India, teaches post-graduate courses on poverty, development theory and development administration.
He is the author of several major reports and numerous essays on democracy, poverty, world hunger and public administration in developing countries.
This free public lecture is sponsored by the department of philosophy and humanities in the ETSU College of Arts and Sciences and Oslo’s Center for Development and the Environment.
