ETSU’s head women’s soccer coach Heather Henson has announced that Katherine Kilday of Greenville has signed the National Letter of Intent to play soccer for the Bucs in 2001.
Kilday, a four-year starter for coach Bill Lorch at Greeneville High School, earned all conference honors in each of her four seasons.
During her senior season, she led the team by averaging 1.5 goals per game She was named to the All-Region team in both her junior and senior seasons. She was also the team assists leader in both her junior and senior year.
Kilday was named the team’s best offensive player her junior season as well as the team’s Most Valuable Player.
“Katie is a solid addition to our program,” said Henson. “She will bring a great deal of athletic ability along with a lot of determination.
“This fall she overcame ACL surgery and was back competing within three-and-a-half months.
“With this amount of desire, I feel that she will accomplish a lot in four years with us. We are extremely excited about adding local talent of her caliber to our program,” she said.
