ETSU film studies and the English department are presenting a film series titled “The South in Film.” The film series is free and open to the public. Films will be presented on Tuesdays from 7-9:45 p.m. in the auditorium of Brown Hall.
The following films are to be shown in coming weeks:
Sept. 25: Suddenly, Last Summer, directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz and presented by Dr. Darryl Haley of the English department;
Oct. 2: The Member of the Wedding, directed by Fred Zinneman and presented by Dr. Ron Giles of the English department;
Oct. 9: To Kill a Mockingbird, directed by Robert Mulligan and presented by Laurel Karp, graduate student;
Oct. 16: Thunder Road, directed by Arthur Ripley and presented by Dr. Don Johnson, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences;
Oct. 23: Deliverance, rated R, directed by John Boorman, presented by Dr. Theresa Lloyd of the English department;
Oct. 30: Driving Miss Daisy, directed by Bruce Beresford, presented by Dr. Ken Hall of the foreign languages department.
