Junior Rosaline Addo and sophomore David Haefner competed in the NCAA South Region Cross Country Championships last Saturday at the Harry Pritchard Golf Course in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Haefner finished 52nd overall in the 10-kilometer race with a time of 33 minutes and 9.30 seconds.
Alabama’s David Kimani was the overall winner (30:06.43), with Alabama winning the team title with 55 points and the University of Tennessee taking second place with 84 points, both earning berths in the NCAA Championships to be held on Nov. 19 in Greenville, S.C.
Addo finished 70th in the women’s race with a time of 23:31.50 over the 6K course.
Renee Metivier of Georgia Tech was the individual winner in the women’s race (20:20.39) as Georgia Tech won the team title with 54 points over South Florida (102 points), both teams earned automatic berths in the NCAA championships.
