Three players on ETSU’s football team were named to the All-Southern Conference team as selected by members of the Southern Conference Sports Media Association the conference announced last Thursday.
Junior wide receiver Cecil Moore leads the group as a first team selection. Senior tight end Nick Hendrickson and sophomore defensive back Tony Tiller were both second team selections.
Moore led all SoCon receivers with 57 receptions for 908 yards and five touchdowns. His yardage total was the best of his career. Already one of the Bucs all-time leading receivers, Moore has totaled 117 catches for 1,806 yards and 12 touchdowns.
His reception totals are fifth in the ETSU record books, while his yardage total stands at fourth.
In his first season as a defensive back, Tiller led the conference in interceptions with seven, returning them for a total of 102 yards. In addition to picking off seven passes, he also led the team with 13 pass break ups.
He finished the season with 52 tackles. His seven picks ties him for fourth in the ETSU record books for most interceptions in a season.
Hendrickson started all 11 games for the Bucs at tight end this season and played a significant role on the Bucs’ offensive line. He finished third on the team in receptions and reception yardage, hauling in 14 passes for 150 yards and one touchdown.
Hendrickson, Moore along with Brandon Calton were named to the All-SoCon team selected by the nine coaches of the conference earlier last week.
