ETSU has named Stefanie Reynolds as its new head women’s golf coach it was announced Wednesday.
Reynolds replaces Katie Weiss who left ETSU to take the women’s golf coaching position at Minnesota.
Reynolds comes to ETSU from Texas Christian where she was the assistant women’s golf coach last season.
While with the Horned Frogs she assisted with all aspects of the team, including coaching, recruiting and practice organization.
A 2001 graduate of South Carolina with a double major in management and marketing, Reynolds was a two-year member of the women’s golf team at South Carolina where she was an Academic All-American both years as well as making the SEC Scholar Athlete Honor Roll twice.
Before playing at South Carolina Reynolds played for two years at Wake Forest, where she earned Academic All-America honors in 1999.
Reynolds was also involved with helping develop and manage a golf school, the Hartefeld National Golf School, working with that program for four years. There she was responsible for the organization and management of the school’s programs, as well as assisting PGA professionals with instruction.
“We are really excited to have Stefanie Reynolds join our team as our women’s golf coach,” said Todd Stansbury, ETSU’s director of athletics. “She had a very successful collegiate playing career and coming to us from a program like TCU, which has been at the highest level for many years, she will bring us a strong commitment to our women’s golf program, both athletically and academically.
