ETSU sophomore Robin McCarley of Johnson City shot a team low 75 Monday, and shot a 77 Tuesday to tie for 18th place and lead the Bucs to a fifth place finish at the Wachovia Great Smokies Women’s Intercollegiate golf tournament. Host Western Carolina won the 26-team two-day tournament.
Kristen Fletcher and Danielle O’Reilly tied for 27th place after shooting a 78 and a 76, respectively. Ashley Barton finished tied for 52nd shooting an 82 yesterday and a 77 in today’s round. Alyssa Few tied for 57th shooting a 77 yesterday and finished the day shooting an 83.
ETSU finished the tournament shooting a two-round 614. The Bucs finished above SoCon opponents Appalachian State and Wofford.
The Bucs will return to action Nov. 1, as they travel to Puerto Rico to compete in a tournament hosted by Florida International University.
